Safeguarding

As a church, we strive to be a place where all people are safe from harm and where anyone can find help and support. In order to achieve this we have a robust safeguarding policy, exercise proper care in the selection and appointment of those working with children, youth and adults at risk, whether paid or voluntary. We undertake to provide all workers with appropriate training, support and supervision to promote the safekeeping of
all children, youth and adults at risk.
We recognise that we all have a responsibility to help prevent the physical, sexual, psychological, financial and discriminatory abuse and neglect and to report such abuse that we discover or suspect.
We recognise the personal dignity and rights of adults at risk and will ensure all our policies and procedures will reflect this. We believe every child should be valued, safe and happy. We want to make sure that children we have contact with know this and are empowered to tell us if they are suffering harm.
We are part of thirtyone:eight, which is an independent Christian charity which helps individuals, organisations, charities, faith and community groups to protect children and adults at risk of harm from abuse and we adhere to their rules and guidelines.
