At Wilmington Community Church, we are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for children, young people, and adults who may be vulnerable or at risk of harm. Their safety, wellbeing, and dignity are at the heart of everything we do.
To fulfil this commitment, we maintain a robust safeguarding policy and follow safer recruitment practices in the selection and appointment of all staff and volunteers who work with children, young people, and adults at risk.
We are members of Thirtyone:eight, an independent Christian safeguarding charity that supports churches, charities, and community organisations in protecting children and vulnerable adults from abuse. We are committed to following their guidance, standards, and best practice recommendations in all areas of safeguarding.
